What's the Lyft job like?Lyft drivers use the Lyft smartphone app to receive ride requests from nearby Lyft users. When a user requests a ride and you're the closest driver, you receive a ride request notification in the app that you can either accept or decline. After you accept the request, you're given the user's location. Drive to the user, pick them up, begin the ride by hitting a button, then take them wherever they need to go. After they get out, you hit a button to end the ride. That's it! The user pays electronically -- no cash changes hands. You'll receive a daily summary of your fares and you're paid once each week.
